The Indiana Math Enrichment Initiative is dedicated to inspiring young minds through problem solving, mentorship, and vibrant competition. To make this vision a reality, our strategic focus centers on three core pillars: developing rich student programming, securing financial resources, and mobilizing a statewide volunteer network.
Math comes alive through challenge, collaboration, and discovery. We create accessible, high-energy opportunities that meet students at every stage of their mathematical journey:
In-Person Contests: Hosting engaging, statewide competitions tailored for various age groups to challenge problem-solving abilities in a supportive environment.
Practice and Connection Hubs: Organizing online problem solving, in-person workshops, and social events where students can prepare together, collaborate, and forge lasting friendships.
To keep our events accessible, high-quality, and affordable for every student across Indiana, we build partnerships through two main avenues:
Donor Contributions: Partnering with individuals, alumni, local businesses, and foundations who share our passion for empowering young thinkers.
Contests & Online Learning: Generating operational funds directly through our student math competitions and interactive online learning opportunities, allowing our core educational activities to sustain our initiative.
A strong community requires dedicated leaders. We bring together individuals of all ages—high school and college students, alumni, parents, and educators—who want to pay it forward:
Contest Logistics & Operations: Assisting with event setup, proctoring, scoring, and hospitality to run seamless competitions.
Mentorship & Coaching: Guiding students, leading practice sessions, and sharing real-world insights to encourage the next generation of problem solvers.
Whether you are a donor eager to invest in talent, a student looking to compete, or a volunteer ready to share your enthusiasm, there is a seat at the table for you. Together, we are creating spaces where Indiana's young mathematicians can learn, grow, and belong.
